BLUEorange is excited to present artist Sue Anne Rische's work on privacy developed in three countries. Hiding Placedraws from works created during international residency programs in Japan, the Netherlands, and Spain focusing on issues of domesticated surveillance and civilian responses. The works range in media from hand crafted bamboo fans, linoleum prints, drawings, and wearable sculpture. 

 

Sue Anne Rische is a Professor of Art at Collin College in McKinney, Texas.  She has been teaching and practicing art for over 25 years in Texas, Washington, and Colorado.  Rische uses a wide variety of mediums including drawing, photography, painting, sculpture, and installation letting the concept drive  the form and execution of the work.  Throughout the years dominant themes in her work have been related to the body regarding sexuality, health, and solitude.
