BLUEorange is proud to present Sweven, featuring the work of San Antonio based Artist Michael Menchaca. Commenting on sociopolitical issues surrounding the Mexican-American border, Menchaca combines vibrant prints and installation using his characteristic visual narrative.The title of the show, Sweven, meaning dream addresses the nightmarish scene he's creating in the space.

Michael Menchaca currently lives and works out of San Antonio, TX until the fall when he'll be attending the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design. Menchaca has attended many Artist Residencies including the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture and most recently the Vermont Studio Center. Menchaca's work is also included in numerous private, public, and museum collections including the McNay Art Museum and the San Antonio Museum of Art.
